ISM again received the German Design Award

New Puma safety shoe 'Touring Blue Mid' from the motorsport-inspired Moto Protect line wins the German Design Award 2022

The German Design Council has presented the German Design Award for the tenth time. The internationally renowned prize goes to companies whose groundbreaking products and projects were convincing in various categories. The German Design Award is the German Design Council's biggest prize and one of the most recognized international design awards. The entries are evaluated by an international jury made up of leading experts from all design disciplines. Their judgment is invaluable - anyone who convinces this jury with their own product/project has demonstrated a high level of competence in design innovation and a special focus on the demands of their own customers and the market. In short: anyone who wins here is one of the best.

ISM convinced the jury in the "Excellent Product Design - Industry" competition class with the Puma Safety Touring Blue Mid from the Moto Protect line. The models of the Moto Protect line score technically with a directly injected PU midsole, which optimally absorbs impacts over the entire surface of the foot. The integrated, extra-long and striking MTSP Torsion Control Element increases stability over the entire foot area and promotes a dynamic running movement. The Evercushion® Plus high-performance footbed protects against shock, guarantees long-lasting comfort and withstands even the most strenuous daily demands.

The racing-inspired, rounded and raised outsole in the heel area ("Drivers Heel"), in combination with the internal lacing, the non-slip PU sole and the "MTSP" lettering, ensure the unique motorsport look. Pure motorsport can also be found under the sole. The profile of the Moto Protect series drains liquid like a tire profile. This ensures optimal grip on any surface. The 'Touring Blue Mid' model is also classified as "Electrical Hazard" - according to American standards, shoes with EH are specially developed to protect against open circuits up to 18,000 volts in dry conditions. They meet or exceed ASTM F 2412-11 and ASTM F2413-11. These test methods measure the ability of shoes to withstand a variety of hazards that could potentially result in injury to the wearer. The "Touring Blue Mid" thus has an absolutely unique selling point on the market.
